In this lesson I will teach you how to find the LCD of a rational expression. Just like adding or subtracting fractions when you add or subtract rational expressions how may need to determine the LCD. In order for us to learn this skill I will need to review how we find the LCD/ LCM of two numbers. Many students think they understand the procedure better than they actually do so pay close attention to the review in the lesson. Once we have a strong understanding of finding the LCD/LCM given two numbers we can start to apply the same skills to rational expressions. You will be doing a good amount of polynomial factoring so please review as needed. Of course watching me in the lesson is one thing but for you to master the concepts YOU have to put in the time and effort to practice- this I can’t stress enough. Good luck and work hard!
