Using Slope-Intercept Form

In this lesson I will show you how to find the equation of a line using the slope-intercept method.  Recall the slope-intercept method is when we graph a line using the form y=mx + b  where “m” is the slope and “b” is the y-intercept.  Just to be clear when we are looking for the equation of a line (as we will be doing in this lesson) we need the slope of the line and at least one (x, y) point that is on the line.  So given the slope and a point we can find the equation of any line.  Also we want to write our final solutions in y=mx + b form unless otherwise told.  This chapter will explore many ways to find the equation of a line and each is important to understand.
