Special Linear Systems

In this lesson I will be teaching you about special linear systems.  If you have been watching the system lessons in order you should have a good sense that a solution to a linear system is where two lines intersect.  Remember, we are studying 2 variable linear systems so we can graph the lines of the system and actually see the point of intersection (if the lines intersect) to determine the solution- this by the way is the “graphing method” of solving systems.  Now, what happens if the 2 lines of the system do not intersect because they are parallel to each other?  Well, this is what we call a special system and I will talking about this and other unique situations that can come up in systems.  As always take good notes and practice.
